AI, NATIONAL & INTERNATIONAL SECURITY

AI is now at the heart of national security issues. Aware of the revolutionary implications of AI for their security and defence, some countries are actively seeking to develop and improve the use of AI for a very wide range of applications from intelligence to autonomous lethal weapons ("killer robots"). These activities raise the spectre of an AI arms race as well as formidable legal questions.
