EU GPAI Code of Practice Meetings (Brussels, BE)
The Chair’s Research Fellow, Dr Theodoros Karathanasis, will participate in the two AI Office’s Working Group (WG2 and WG4) meetings on the 18-19 November in the context of the drafting process of the first EU General-Purpose AI Code of Practice.
The WG4 meeting will focus on critical considerations related to the governance and regulation of General-Purpose AI (GPAI) models with systemic risks. The agenda will address several nuanced topics to ensure measures under consideration are effective, equitable, and applicable across various contexts.

The WG2 meeting will focus on critical aspects of safety measures for providers of General-Purpose AI (GPAI) models, especially those with systemic risks. The discussion will revolve around the implementation, effectiveness, and potential challenges of measures 6 and 8-11, as outlined in the draft Code of Practice.
