AI in Medicine, Vienna

On January 12th 2024, the Central European Cooperative Oncology Group together with the Department of Innovation and Digitalisation in Law at the University of Vienna’s Law School will be organizing a symposium on “AI IN MEDICINE – VISION – REALITY – LEGAL ASPECTS.” The upcoming symposium will address the legal impact of AI rapidly becoming a vital tool in various aspects of medicine, focusing on the European and Austrian legal frameworks related to AI, including the AI Act and Liability Directive, to guide medical and legal professionals in understanding the regulatory implications and ethical dimensions of AI in medical practice. Our own Cornelia Kutterer, a Senior Research Fellow at MIAI, will be participating in the session titled ‘Regulating the Scene.’
