
MathC2+ Programme – How are generative AI systems transforming society today?

Shadée Pinto, research engineer at the chair, will take part in the round-table discussion “How are generative AI systems transforming society today?”, concluding the MathC2+ programme’s training week on 26 June 2026 organised by INRIA.
This round-table discussion will present the impacts of generative AI on knowledge, learning and society to nearly sixty high school students from the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, selected for their interest in science, by addressing:
- The functioning and explainability of AI models ;
- The biases and inequalities generative AI may induce or reinforce, particularly in relation to learning ;
- The environmental impacts of AI ;
- The consequences of AI for work and workers ;
- The impacts on power, politics and democracy.
