GCSP Workshop on the Legal Implications of the Ethical Principles on Military AI

Professor Theodore Christakis has been invited by the Geneva Center for Security Policy (‘GCSP’) to participate in a by-invitation only closed workshop of experts on the Legal Implications of the Ethical Principles on Military AI. This workshop will take place on 13 and 14 June at GCSP’s premises in Geneva.

More specifically, Professor Christakis will chair a panel on the Principle of Equitability on 14 June from 13.30 to 14.30. This panel will deal with the development of some civilian AI technology such as facial recognition which are being deployed currently on the battlefield.

This workshop is in line with one important focus area of the AI Regulation Chair, which is AI and International Security.
